Cody - Stick Up Polish

Hey guys!

I got a chance to address the notes for my cowboy shot tonight, and I'm hoping to get it pretty polished this week. I've been working a lot on the dialogue at the end, but is there anything else in the shot that sticks out that needs to be worked on? Let me know! Thanks!

FIXED MOVIES: Pantomime inspiration

Hi Class,
Here are some clips that I thought were good examples of pantomime acting.  Not only is the acting and staging very clear, but you get a good feel for the personality of the character and the stakes of the situation.

Here's a WIP by Tony Chau (I don't think he ever finished it) but I love how clear the intent of the character and the stakes of the situation are.  Password: 4animc

Here's a more serious piece of acting by Lesley Manville.   Notice the clear changes in her attitude and expression, and how she interacts with the phone.

And finally, here's a clip of Reese Witherspoon in Election.  She plays a very uptight character and notice how she reacts when things don't go her way.  Password: 4animc

See you all Wednesday!

A guy is waiting for a glassware that he bought online and agreed to let the drone deliver the shipment. When the day came, in the afternoon, while he was reading a book and drinking coffee on the patio outside his house, the drone came. It dropped the package so hard and destroyed it. He was surprised and speechless, watching the drone fly away.

Jonathan Pryce on Stage Fright

Hello, class. I'd like to share this interesting insight. Jonathan talked about the stage fright is actually a form of (Selfishness) dishonesty. Sometimes I feel nervous when shooting a reference, even tho there's nobody around (ha ha). Well, enjoy :)

Bruna - dialogue idea

I chose the "I'm living my life" line to animate! =)

And this is my idea for it:

She is a middle age woman/mom that put everything aside because life happened (family and kids) But now that her kids went to college, first time since a long time, she is doing something for herself, like going back to do the things she liked to do before.

So the scene is her, preparing to go on a road trip, talking to her husband that doesn't approve that decision. But she is determined that she is going.

I cut the dialogue and it is now with 7,5 sec..
can I go for it?

thanks,
Bruna

Bruna - audios

Hello guys,

I found some cool dialogues that I would like to animate.  I particularly like the "Moses" one, I have a couple of  ideas for it, but I'm open to suggestions to see what you guys think too.   I can edit them if necessary.

1 - Fear
2-  Moses
3 - joke
4 - commercial
5 - living my life
